Each student is provided a directory on the student server mapped to your U:\ drive.  The storage limit is 100 MB.  Your directory will be purged 30 days after graduation.  You can access your directory when you logon to the SSOM domain on campus.  You can also access it via your laptop with a wired network connection, by mapping a drive.  Access is not available via wireless or off campus.

Upon graduation, students in the Class of 2005 will need to make arrangements to have their E-mail accounts moved. Students continuing at Loyola should have their post office changed to the one appropriate for their department. Please contact the department administrator for your residency program to make these arrangements. E-mail accounts for those leaving Loyola will remain active for  3 months after graduation. After that time, your email will no longer be accessible.

There is a 90-day expiration on e-mails in your mailbox, including items placed in the cabinet folders.  Once e-mail has been purged from the system, it cannot be retrieved. Create an archive folder to store important messages that should not be purged. See Amy if you need help creating an archive.

To archive messages that have been moved to a folder in your filing cabinet, be sure that a folder with the same name has been created under the cabinet in your archive account.
