Loyola University Medical Education Network Dissection of the Spinal cord

Step 1
Clean the vertebral laminae from approximately T10 to the sacrum. See your instructor if you need help performing the laminectomy. Open the dura mater to expose the spinal cord. Find a dorsal root ganglion, spinal nerve, and dorsal and ventral rami.
Each of the steps in the dissection includes more specific instructions for the dissection of that step. The buttons below provide lists of all the structures that will be dissected in this session.
