Step 1
Bisect the cranium mid-sagitally and identify the structures on the lateral wall of the nasal cavity and the nasopharynx
Each of the steps in the dissection includes more specific instructions for the dissection of that step. The buttons below provide lists of all the structures that will be dissected in this session.

Step 2
Remove the conchae and mucosa to expose the tensor veli palatini and levator palatini muscles.
Step 3
Open the pterygopalatine fossa and palatine canal to expose the pterygopalatine ganglion, the descending palatine artery and the greater and lesser palatine nerves.
