Dissection of the Pelvis (Step 2)


Step 1
Recall that in an earlier dissection you blunt dissected the visceral contents of the pelvis in order to appreciate their relationships with the pelvis intact. The following dissection describes bisecting.
Each of the steps in the dissection includes more specific instructions for the dissection of that step.

Step 2
Bisect the pelvis and remove one limb.
Step 3
Demonstrate the parts of the viscera that have been bisected.
Step 4
Dissect the branches of the internal iliac arteries and nerves on the lateral wall of the pelvis.
