Be aware, that limitation of muscle power could be due to joint disease.
- Bulk and asymmetry
- Atrophy/wasting
- Non-specific wasting of muscles (Disuse, rheumatoid arthritis, malnutrition, malignancy, chronic infections, muscular dystrophy)
- Unilateral: Spinal accessory nerve damage
- Shoulder droops and the scapula is displaced downward and laterally
- Power
- Weakness
- Generalized or symmetric
- Malnutrition
- Lower motor neurone
- Unilateral: Spinal accessory nerve damage
