Common Symptoms

Cough:
Seventy-six percent of patients with small cell carcinoma present with cough.
Dyspnea:
Thirty-four percent of patients present with dyspnea.
Chest Pain:
Thirty-six percent of these patients present with chest pain. This is usually a pleuritic chest pain. However, it is possible for it to be confused with angina (which is usually considered to be cardiac in origin).
