Pulmonary Angiogram
The following lists rules to consider for pulmonary angiogram:
- There is no need to do a pulmonary angiogram in patients with high probability
scans, unless clinical suspicion for other vascular anomalies exist.
- There is no need to do an angiogram when the patient has a completely normal lung
scan.
- If clinical suspicion warrants, do a pulmonary angiogram in patients with
indeterminate scans.
- Always do pulmonary angiogram before considering the patient for surgical removal
of a clot.
