- What is your clinical diagnosis? Is this a medical emergency (ie
life-threatening)?
- What broad class of organisms (gram + , gram -, etc.) would you tailor
your therapy toward in this patient?
- Recognizing the organisms most likely involved, identify the class of
antibiotics that you would you use. Specifically, which antibiotic regimen
would you choose?
- Would you admit this patient to the hospital? Discuss
- Are there additional tests or studies that you will use in guiding your
therapy?
