Case 1 :

A 29 y/o male presents to your clinic having learned that he is HIV(+) through anonymous testing.   He is asymptomatic, but he has noted the development of diffuse enlargement of his "glands" starting about two years ago following a viral syndrome.   His physical examination is significant for multiple 0.5-1.0 cm lymph nodes in the anterior and posterior cervical regions and the left axilla.   The remainder of his exam is unremarkable.   He presents to you the results of an ELISA test that is read as "positive" for HIV, and a Western blot confirming the diagnosis.
