Inhomogeneous Pulmonary Artery Density

The density of the left and right pulmonary artery should be similar. If one is more dense than the other, it suggests that there is a lesion in front of or behind that artery.

Note the density of the left descending pulmonary artery branch is uneven. This patient has a solitary pulmonary nodule and a hilar  lymph node.
