leave of absence and other loyola-stritch student policies

  1. The clinical rotation in Neurology is only four weeks. The last day of the clerkship, is the date of the final examinations, which will not be changed. Students who are absent due to illness or an emergency should call the Educational Coordinator, and fill out an absence form later.

  2. At most, three absent days for residency interviews are allowed, byreturning the request form to the Educational Coordinator, signed by the supervising attending, with notification also to the Office of Loyola-Stritch Student Affairs. Longer absences require remediation of the absent time, arranged individually per student. Requests for leave for interviews or other events must be submitted one month prior to start of the clerkship.

  3. Student abuse, whether physical, psychological or sexual, is never to be accepted or tolerated. Students are asked to confidentially discuss any issues of abuse, as early as possible, with the clerkship director.

  4. Other current Loyola-Stritch student policies will be reviewed with you at orientation.
