Aspergillosis / Angioinvasive / Lung ball

Angioinvasive aspergillosis in a neutropenic patient receiving chemotherapy. Bilateral solid lung nodules when the patient is neutropenic (image on left). When the neutropenia is corrected the nodules cavitate (middle image), note peripheral crescents of gas . The image on right shows lung ball (large arrows) and crescentic air (small arrrows).
