CASE 3
A 20-year-old college student developed nausea and vomiting, followed by diarrhea. Low grade fever, malaise and muscle aches were also present. After two days, all symptoms resolved without specific treatment. Several other students living in the same dormitory developed similar symptoms over the next few weeks. A Norwalk virus is suspected as the cause of this outbreak.
