Dissection of the Pectoral Region

  1. Before skinning the anterior thorax, dissect the breast. Those groups with male cadavers should obviously view this dissection on a neighboring group with a female cadaver. Due to the age of many cadavers, the lactiferous sinuses and ducts are often difficult to demonstrate.

  2. The extent to which you should skin is shown in this dissection, which demonstrates the pectoralis major muscle and the cephalic vein in the groove between the pectoralis major muscle and the deltoid muscle.
