Radiological Manifestations

Pulmonary

  • Bilateral symmetrical hilar nodes
  • Medaistinal nodes; unusual to see anterior mediastinal nodes
  • Diffuse interstitial fibrosis
  • Miliary nodules
  • Alveolar lesions
  • Progressive massive fibrosis
  • Dominant bilateral upper lobe disease
  • Type I: only nodes
  • Type II: nodes and parenchymatous lesions
  • Type III: only parenchymatous lesions - no evident lymphadenopathy
  • Most common finding is spontaneous resolution
  • Egg shell calcification of node
