Lymphadenopathy in CXR
Mediastinal
- Paratracheal: Lobular widening of paratracheal stripe
. Anterior, right and left groups.
- Azygous: Lower right paratracheal node just above RUL bronchus. To be distinguished from azygous vein.
- Anterior mediastinal:
- Mediastinal widening with lobulated outline (Polycyclis margin). Increased opacity of retrosternal space.
- Middle mediastinum
- AP window: Bulge between the arches of aorta and pulmonary artery.
- Subcarinal: Increased density over subcarinal area, double denisty of heart, widening of carina. To be distinguished from left atrial enlargement.
- Posterior mediastinal
- Paraesophageal : Displaced paravertebral line, Inhomgenuity of cardiac shadow.
Hilar: Lobulated outline. Increased hilar density compared to the other side (in unilateral) or inhogenous density.
Pulmonary: Appearance of solitary pulmonary nodule.
Internal mammary: Extrapleural characteristics.

Supraclavicular
