    1. (2.3) Choose electives for the final year of medical school that will allow improved patient care by focusing on personal areas still needing further development for residency.


  2. Practice-Based Learning and Improvement
    1. (4.1) Identify strengths and limitations in preparation for desired residency
    2. (4.1) Craft a personal statement describing fit for residency in desired field
    3. (4.1) Write notable characteristics about oneself to be included in Medical School Performance Evaluation (MSPE)
    4. (4.2) Thoughtfully design the final year of medical school including rotations based on self-identified areas of deficiency
    5. (4.1) and (4.3) Evaluate strengths and performance relative to residency application
    6. (4.3) Develop the skills needed to obtain formative feedback from mentors and teachers in the clinical learning environment
    7. (4.3) Seek knowledge and expertise of career advising faculty and the offices of Student and Educational Affairs to prepare for the residency application process


  3. Professionalism
    1. (5.2) Demonstrate integrity and accountability in fulfilling course assignments in a timely manner and remain open and committed to the course content
    2. (5.2) Understand and follow the rules regarding time away from clinical duties for completion of residency interviews.

    1. (7.1) Collaborate with faculty, school leadership, and peers to foster an environment of respect and trust in the residency preparation process
