That’s right. Note how those 3 dots of basal cell carcinoma which were between the deepest and peripheral margin are now on the surface about to be removed as a 6 micron layer of tissue. (If you could really see those dots on actual tissue grossly, there would of course be no such thing as Mohs surgery.) The next step is to prepare the slide(s) to be read under the microscope.
